Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara- will mark the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia and South East Asia. Located in Mont’ Kiara, an affluent suburb located five kilometers from downtown Kuala Lumpur, the hotel will feature approximately 298 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, 3,100 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, and a sky pool. Scheduled to open in late 2017, the hotel will be part of a larger mixed use development, Arcoris Mont’ Kiara, which will feature business suites, small home offices (“SoHo”), residential units, and a retail plaza.

We are currently looking for an experienced "Sales Manager to add value to the Sales & Marketing team in order to ensure that efficiency, accuracy and timeliness and commercial success is achieved, while maintaining Hyatt Hotel's high standards in Sales.

This is a position that reports directly to the Director of Sales

A sales specialist, you are to develop Hyatt House business objectives, drive revenue as well as nurture relationships with your key clients in a refreshing, unique and yet prime for a brand such as Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur

Qualifications:

*Demonstrate a passion and proven results in prospecting new & incremental business

*A minimum of 3 years or more work experience in a role within a hotel with all round experience across Transient Sales-Corporate, Government & MICE

*Refined verbal and written communication skills. Preparing and presenting effective proposals, presentations, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilization of Hyatt technology systems and coordination of customer service requirements with hotel operations staff as appropriate.

*Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, rfp express, lanyon, and proprietary sales systems.

*A specialist whom has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competence in sales, account management functions and the hotel/business travel industry.

*Proficient in managing current accounts, ensure proper solicitation of all transient markets, and may include travel to major cities within market.

*A natural leader, comfortable in leading Sales meetings, events and other staff meetings.

*Responsible , credible and creative in finding solutions that makes business sense.

*An individual that lets his numbers and results speak for themselves.

  • Possess a Degree, Diploma or equivalent professional certification in either Hospitality, Tourism Management, Business Administration or Marketing

*Fluent in written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in other languages will be an added advantage
