Hyatt Engineering Manager in MELBOURNE, Australia

Description:
Award-winning luxury hotel, Park Hyatt Melbourne currently seeks a qualified and experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, your will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. You will also ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition. Project work will also keep you challenged during this exciting time as we are currently undergoing guest room renovations.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have: * A Mechanical/Electrical Trade or Engineering qualification. * Previous experience in a similar environment will be of advantage. * Knowledge in plant maintenance, building services, OH&S and emergency procedures. * A strong focus on ensuring all hazardous work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations. * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate, lead, train, guide and direct staff. * Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage your time. * The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of five star grooming standards.
