Hyatt Assistant Housekeeping Manager - Property Management at Sunriver Resort in BEND, Oregon

This is the Hyatt Touch. * * The Assistant Housekeeping Manager provides leadership and guidance to the housekeeping staff for the overall successful operation of the Property Management Housekeeping Department. S/he will assist the Property Management Operations Manager to ensure overall product quality, safety and financial responsibility. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager must be able to work independently, as well as, with others. S/he will motivate and train staff to provide the most exceptional guest service as well as maintain the AAA Four diamond standards.

_ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:_ * Assists the Property Management Operations Manager in coordinating the daily duties of the department * Manages the day-to-day operations of the department, in absence of the Property Management Operations Manager * Provides direct oversight for the Housekeeping Coordinators * Plans and conducts morning stand-up meetings * Maintains communication with housekeeping leads out in the field * Performs ongoing quality inspections of units and takes corrective action as needed to address quality deficiencies * Inspects VIP units prior to arrivals * Develops and implements controls for expense management * Assists in preparing forecasts and financial reports * Assists in the development of the departmental annual budget * Maintains an awareness of all safety and emergency procedures and knows his/her role in assisting during critical times * Ensures all housekeeping equipment is in proper working order * Assists with monitoring time clock punches to ensure accurate payroll * Operates department pursuant of OSHA requirements and guidelines * Orders supplies and equipment * Handles daily purchasing, receiving, invoicing and billing * Assists with the orientation and training of new housekeeping team * Assists in the ongoing training and development of housekeeping team * Responsible for the scheduling of housekeeping staff * Assists with new hire and termination paperwork * Coaches and counsels housekeeping team * Recommends discipline and/or termination when necessary * Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment * Reviews guests feedback communicates information to team to ensure continual focus on guest satisfaction * Maintains a strong knowledge of hospitality trends * Works closely with Front Desk, Maintenance, Homes Services, Sales and Conventions to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction * Attends appropriate resort, division and department meetings * Assures guest service standards are being applied by all housekeeping staff * Provides general resort information for guests * Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness * Communicates pertinent information to team, i.e. in-house VIPs, changes in policies and procedures, resort events, etc. * Completes appropriate MOD reports * Maintains records for all VIPs, special requests, etc. * Maintains a strong morale and spirit throughout housekeeping team * Instills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations * Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name when possible & good eye contact with each guest * Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events * Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests * Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information * Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude * Communicates all pertinent information to the Housekeeping team * Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor. * Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment. * Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Sunriver Resort dress code standards. * Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times. * Performs other duties as assigned

* High school diploma or equivalent * At least two years housekeeping experience preferred * At least one year supervisory experience preferred * Prior hospitality experience preferred
