We are looking for a Marketing Communications Manager

The Marketing Communications Manager will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing and implement annual comprehensive marketing and public relations plan to support the business objectives of the hotel. The plan will include objectives, strategy and tactics for each of the hotel’s market segments and outlets. The ultimate goal is to heighten market presence, increase positive awareness, strengthen brand loyalty, increase market share and produce increased revenues and profitability.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Increase total revenue for various business segments through the executiuon of a measurable marketing strategy while identifying new marketing opportunities that support the business goals and objectives of each of the hotel’s segments.
  • Focus on building the hotel’s brand position in regional, national and local markets by managing and executing the hotel’s local marketing strategy and tactics.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with hotel sales strategy team to determine key need dates and opportunities to drive revenue and to stay current on changing business needs in order to develop and/or revise tactics to address opportunities

  • Responsible for local marketing and communication strategy, management and execution of local marketing plans and tactics
  • Manage annual local marketing strategic and budget planning process through Local Marketing Tactic System (LMPT)
  • Execute recommended corporate marketing initiatives at the local level and provide corporate team with formal results summary
  • Serve as primary contact and lead the hotel digital marketing strategies and execution
  • Evaluate promotional opportunities presented to hotel as well as develop promotions and partnerships to meet the hotel’s marketing and revenue objectives
  • Forge and maintain relationships with complementary and competitive organizations including key local and industry-related organizations – CVB, Chamber of Commerce, hospitality trade associations, etc.
  • Oversee local marketing expense planning processing
  • Develop and manage marketing assets within Hyatt Brand Manager (HBM) or approved local vendors
  • Participate in brand training and development sessions and ensure that the brand image and integrity is maintained at the property level
  • Research and coordinate advertising and PR/communications opportunities with approved corporate vendors and agencies and provide direction on media placement goals in targeted media outlets

    ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Develop and execute the production of marketing materials, promotional and internal communications materials

  • Content marketing through social media to develop and expand engagement aligned to a defined social media strategy, i.e. Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
  • Develop and manage marketing assets within Hyatt Brand Manager (HBM) or approved local vendors
  • Host hotel’s monthly marketing meetings
  • Maintain graphic standards and integrity for all print ads and promotional material distributed internally and externally

Qualifications:
* In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and strategic planning process * Self-starter and a team leader * 2 years minimum marketing experience (hospitality experience preferred) * Effective management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines * Creative, organized and strong business sense * Effective communications & presentation skills * Experience with working in a high-paced, digital environment * Degree in Marketing / PR / Communications * Superb written and presentation skills * Advanced skills in PPT and Excel * Experience in Adobe InDesign
