The Director of Group Sales is an experienced senior level hotel sales role that reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing. Responsibilities include managing and leading the sales staff as well as managing select key accounts. The DOGS responsibilities include but are not limited to the mentoring and training sales staff, recruitment and hiring of sales staff, leading sales meetings, working with catering and convention services, involvement with the annual business plan process, forecasting, owners meetings, systems training, report analysis, P&L management, business travel and trade shows, customer entertainment, community involvement and networking. This position may be required to serve as the DOSM in the absence of the Director of Sales.

Qualifications:
*A minimum of 5 years in hotel sales leadership, preferably within a convention hotel.
*Proficient in general computer knowledge; Hyatt systems preferred. *Ability to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces and profiling accounts. *Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation and organization skills of utmost importance. *Strong understanding of the convention / group market within a large, full service hotel.
