Hyatt Technical Analyst – World of Hyatt Systems in CHICAGO, Illinois

Description:

The Technical Analyst will play a key role on the team acting as the primary contact for architecture, security, infrastructure, and other various technical inquiries, and collaborating with both internal and external infrastructure and operations teams to ensure the Loyalty System is in compliance with all corporate regulations. This role requires a diverse combination of experiences across multiple dimensions, with depth in some areas:

  • Solutions Design
  • Data Architecture and Data Governance

  • Development Operations
  • Web Service design and Management
  • Application Support and Production Support
  • Security, Infrastructure, and Operations

  • Act as key point of contact for queries related to Loyalty system applications, architecture, security, infrastructure, and web service functions & features

  • Coordinate with internal team(s) and software vendors to investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues on applications integrated with the loyalty system
  • Document current system integrations, infrastructure, and process flows as well as technical system requirements as needed
  • Provide feedback to business and technical partners during requirement and design phases to ensure final solutions effectively and efficiently meet business needs while complying to technical and operational rules
  • Support internal and external integration testing initiatives focusing on environment and service integration and connectivity
  • Assist in the design and implementation of architecture, security, and infrastructure projects to maintain compliance and optimal performance of the loyalty system
  • Act as a liaison to internal leadership and application owners to provide best practices and priority recommendations to ensure systems of responsibility are operating at optimum levels
  • Evaluate new technologies to determine if/how they could benefit systems of responsibility

Qualifications:

Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in information technology or appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive exposure to one or more RDBMS (SQL Server, DB2)
  • Experience using complex SQL based queries to create data views, proficient with joins, T-SQL's, and stored procedures
  • Experience in an IT operational support position preferably in the loyalty or hospitality industry
  • Strong experience with Microsoft office applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio)
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to break down problems into simpler components
  • Proven skills in writing detailed technical documentation
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation, with demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task under tight time frames and with competing priorities.
  • Experience with reporting tools like Tableau and Cognos is preferred
  • Understanding of hotel operations and the use of the loyalty management systems within the Technology ecosystem is preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, computer science, or a related field
