The Role

The Chef de Partie Pastry is responsible to supervise the Pastry department.

To produce a consistent, high quality product and provide a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times. To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the Pastry kitchen to the standards set.

Some of the responsibilities include:



  • Ensures all Commis Chefs handle the Pastry equipment in a proper and safe manner.
  • Ensures all Commis Chefs use the right tool for the right job.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment.
  • Takes interest in learning and preparing new products as directed by the Pastry Chef.
  • Serves fresh Pastries and bakeries to guests, prepared a la minute, is consistent in quality, and reflects the style of the different outlets concept
  • Supervises the pastry operation and coordinates assignments to ensure economical and timely production.

Qualifications:
Qualifications * Culinary / Pastry degree or diploma preferred * 1-2 years or more of work experience * Must exhibit a high degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a face-paced, deadline-driven, detail orientated work environment. * High level of interpersonal skills to build relationships across departments and offices, as well as different job levels within the organization.
