The purpose of this role is to book guest room reservation requests for the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar as well as overseeing the Experience Planning process with guests and meeting planners prior to their visit. This position will be based in the US and can be home based.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop relationships with clients
  • Offer helpful suggestions and solutions
  • Optimize wholesaler and travel agent bookings
  • assist meeting planners when needed
  • Receive, capture and process requests for room reservations that arrive through all channels available to the hotel and corresponding to all business segments
  • Monitoring inventory of rooms for group blocks
  • Complete Daily check list including reviewing daily arrivals.
  • Manage a high volume of general email requests
  • Process wholesaler reservations and handle billing in a timely manner
  • Manage groups including building the group in the system, managing rooming lists and corresponding with the meeting planner
  • Process deposits
  • Review extranet sites for unconfirmed reservations
  • Balance deposit ledger
  • Maintain a work environment that is comfortable, user-friendly, and organized
  • Add and maintain company (volume) accounts, promotions and specials
  • Ensure that actions and behaviors enhance and protect Hyatt’s culture
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed
  • Providing superior customer engagement
  • Regular attendance is expected based on schedule and business needs with flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Participation in employee events, onsite meetings, hotel visits and industry conferences is expected
  • Work well with others at a variety of levels within the organization

Qualifications:

Experience

* 2 years Customer Service experience
* 1 year(s) Hospitality Experience a plus

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
